It costs the Cat Register and Rescue a lot of money to keep a cat in comfort and safety and to pay for veterinary care.

We do not have sufficient funds for a sanctuary so the cats are fostered in our own houses until they are re-homed or die.

Many of our most endearing cats are never re-homed because they need special care or are never chosen because of a defect (perhaps an eye missing or a permanent limp, sometimes caused by deliberate cruelty).

If you cannot have a cat at home with you, this is a great way to help a cat who has no real home. If you already have a pet but cannot have another cat, this is a way to show you are grateful for the love and companionship you get from your pet and to share your own love with another little friend.

The year's Newsletters about the work of the Cat Register and Rescue.

After 6 months you get a progress report.

After a year you receive another progress report and a gentle reminder that now is the time to renew your sponsorship.

If you live near us you can visit the cat and make its acquaintance.

If at any time your cat is re-homed or dies, you will be given a chance to pick out another cat to complete your year's adoption.
